Hi Michael, Matthew, Layne, and all the other visionary music beings at Zaadz,

My music can best be described as jazzy dharmic infused pop.  The music breathes where tantric philosophy meets the avant garde.

I would love to share it with you; looking forward to your tuning and let me know what resonates…

Audio excerpts of my first two recordings, Burning and Bowing to Venus, are located at:
www.lionessroars.org/venus.html
www.lionessroars.org/burning.html

Integral Naked video clips are at:
www.lionessroars.org/willowtrio.html (about half way down the page)

Live on the air:
You can hear the music live on the air in Boulder/Denver on KGNU Monday May 8th at 7pm on the Kabaret program, and hear about the work on 'The Shape of Her Soul' program, with host Jennifer Louden, Sunday May 7th via Martha Stewart Living Radio, Sirius Channel 112

Can't wait to hear what visions abound in the Zaadz omniverse…

In the music,

Willow

Hi! I am blessed to be able to play with some of the best musicians on the planet, and am honored to do so.

I recently did a Live in the studio record at Westlake Audio in LA, (that means we did the entire record ina day a anda half), with Steve Ferrone who plays Drums with Tom Petty, Pat Metheny, Etta James, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, etc…, Jeff Young who sings and plays B3 and Keyboards with Sting and Steely Dan and Jackson Browne, and Tim Scott who sings and plays Bass with Tower of power, Jack mack and the Heart Attack, Stevie Wonder, Robben Ford, etc…, and myself on Guitars and Producing.

It was a beautiful experiment in Art for the sake of Art.

You can check us out at www.zenbluesmusic.com or http://www.sonicbids.com/zenbluesquartet, the second link has a few complete tunes on it.

For a more detailed explanation of why we did this you can look here:

Hello everyone, I'm new to the pod and would like to invite you all to check out one of my tracks.

I have a page on http://www.popworldpromotes.com/ under Artist name “DAVID MORRISON.”

Please listen to “While You Wait,” a guitar instrumental piece. This site is linked to a TV channel in England, so the more hits I get the better the chance of a TV appearance.

The following words go with the music;

While you wait,
base metals turn to gold,
darkness warms with shimmering light,
precious gems are born from stone.
While you wait,
the tides will ebb and flow,
the stars will turn upside down,
true love will come and go.
And when at last the trumpet sounds
and the time is finally near,
the diamond that lives deep within
will cut through your slim veneer.
And when at last you find yourself
lost in blissful dreams,
remember too,
all things must pass,
while you wait, my dear.

I'd welcome your comments on the piece. I have three albums produced so far which are largely guitar instrumental. I'm trying to find a way to use this music to help serve our purposes on zaadz so any suggestions would be welcome.

Love and fine music to all,

David

Greetings visionary musicians! Here are my first two posts. I contributed to the first and the second is one that I just love. The first one is from a concert in London, at the Troubador, it was such an honor to play there, a pub devoted to music. Dylan played there and many others and you could tell, such a great vibe! So check it out, here is Unfulfilled Desires, with Andrew Cohen on drums, Rodrigo Tarazza on sax, Christophe Bonard on bass, Mattias Vogel on guitar and Jeff Alpert on vibes. I'm playing trumpet. It really rocks out in the last 3 minutes, but the whole thing is good.

Unfulfilled Desires

My friend David Leckenby put this next one together and it just makes me want to dance and explode. He uses his electronic sensibilities to cradle a powerful “dharma shot” from Andrew Cohen on the nature of freedom.

You can hear my sound experiments on guitar at

http:\www.soundclick.com/zentai

These are totally unrefined, raw improvisations, mostly on fretless guitars.  I never “got” the 12 tone system, and now I know why.  The actual fractional harmonics really don't occur on the 12 tone system.  The 12 tone system is a copromise that allows the root note to move, thus allowing more complex melodies, at the cost of perfect harmonies.
